‎Speaking ahead of his 300th appearance for Manchester United, Fernandes said he reached out to Ronaldo for advice about life in Saudi Arabia, given the striker’s experience at Al-Nassr. Ronaldo, who joined the Saudi Pro League in 2023, shared his thoughts with his former teammate, though Fernandes declined to reveal the details of their discussion.

‎Fernandes also revealed that he was approached by Jorge Jesus, now managing in Saudi Arabia, who joked about whether he was “too expensive” for Al-Hilal. The midfielder said that despite the significant offer, he wanted to remain in Manchester because he felt a strong connection to the club and wanted to continue playing in the Premier League.

‎Amorim played a major role in Fernandes’ decision to stay, making it clear that he remained an important part of the team’s project. The midfielder said he would have considered leaving only if the club no longer viewed him as part of its future plans. He also confirmed that even if another Saudi offer arrived next summer, his decision would be the same.
