‎Manchester United Eye Federico Valverde Transfer: £100m Move from Real Madrid Planned

‎The club is preparing a bid estimated at £87 million ($115.2m), though Real Madrid’s valuation could reach £100 million ($132.5m) or include a high release clause, according to The Mirror. United face the challenge of convincing Valverde to leave a Champions League-winning side for a squad currently outside Europe’s elite competition.
‎Valverde has been a pivotal figure at Real Madrid since his debut in 2018. After joining as a teenager from Penarol, he quickly became known for his work rate, tactical intelligence, and versatility across midfield and occasionally defense. Valverde has emphasized his willingness to play in any position for the team, highlighting his professionalism and commitment to the squad.
‎The Uruguayan has contributed to one of Real Madrid’s most successful periods, securing multiple La Liga titles and two Champions League trophies. With over 300 appearances, he is Real Madrid’s all-time top Uruguayan appearance maker and was promoted to vice-captain. He notably assisted the winning goal in the 2022 Champions League final.
‎Transfers between Manchester United and Real Madrid have a storied history. Cristiano Ronaldo’s 2009 world-record move from Old Trafford to the Bernabeu remains iconic. Other notable transfers include David Beckham, Ruud van Nistelrooy, Angel Di María, Raphael Varane, and Casemiro, who have strengthened both clubs over the years.
‎Ruben Amorim has identified midfield reinforcement as a priority. He has acknowledged defensive vulnerabilities and emphasized the need to improve team structure and duels near the box. Strengthening the midfield screen is seen as crucial to reducing goals conceded and improving overall team performance.
