Rashford Unsure on Permanent Barcelona Stay Despite La Liga Title-Winning Free-Kick

‎Marcus Rashford has admitted he remains uncertain about his long-term future at FC Barcelona, despite playing a decisive role in their La Liga title triumph over Real Madrid.
‎The Manchester United loanee delivered a defining moment in the Clasico, scoring a sensational free-kick in a 2-0 victory that officially secured the league crown. The strike also made history, as Rashford became the first English player in 41 years to win La Liga and the first Barcelona player to score a direct free-kick in El Clasico since Lionel Messi in 2012.

‎Reflecting on his goal, Rashford revealed he never initially intended to take the shot.
‎"No, I wasn't going to shoot," he told reporters in the mixed zone. "I wasn't going to shoot... because when I put the ball down I didn't see the angles. I didn't feel confident it was going to be a goal, so I was going to cross. But then everyone is telling me to shoot and then I hyped myself up a little bit. It was good I shot in the end as it was a good goal."
‎Despite his strong form in Spain, where he has registered 14 goals and 14 assists under Hansi Flick, Rashford’s future remains unresolved. Barcelona reportedly hold an option to buy him for £26 million, but financial constraints and wage demands could complicate any permanent move.
‎When asked directly about staying at Camp Nou, Rashford remained unsure.
‎"I don't know. I am not a magician, but if I was, I would stay. So we will see," he admitted.
‎He added that his experience in Spain has been highly positive and ambition-driven:
‎"It's really good. I come here to win. So this is... I want to win as many things as I can. So, this is one more to add to this. Yeah, this team is a wonderful team. They're going to win so much in the future as well. So, to be a part of that would be special. So we will see."
‎Meanwhile, his situation at Manchester United appears increasingly final. Reports suggest the club has no plans to reintegrate him into the squad after his departure last summer, following a breakdown in relations and his exclusion from the first-team setup.
‎United are also keen to remove his high wages from their books, with his salary expected to rise significantly following Champions League qualification under Michael Carrick. Even if Barcelona do not activate their buy option, the Premier League side are expected to explore other buyers rather than bring him back.
‎Interim manager Carrick has remained cautious about the situation, saying:
‎"I just think there are decisions to be made in time on certain things and obviously Marcus is in that situation. But at this point in time, nothing’s been decided. And it will be, because it has to be at a certain point. But at this stage, there’s nothing to say."
‎With Barcelona weighing financial decisions and Manchester United preparing for a potential sale elsewhere, Rashford’s future remains one of the most closely watched transfer storylines heading into the next window.
